He cuffed my right hand delicately and raised it to meet his anxious lips, kissing the back side of it softly. I wasn’t moved the gesture at all. However, I did smile, just a little bit. He released me and made his way to Joann and Liz. He shook their hands, but they didn’t get the special treatment such as I did. Afterwards, he strolled back to me, taking a seat without being offered. I allowed him to sit next to me.
